Outdoor Environment

Our outdoor play space offers a wide variety of areas that provide our children with the chance to  experience and develop relationships with the natural world while encouraging growth in all areas of their development. We are situated next to our community playground. It is a large space surrounded by the forest where the children use natural props such as sticks and pine cones in their imaginative play. Inside our yard we have a large roofed sand box, mud  kitchen, flower and vegetable garden, climber and a boat.  The yard also hosts a wide variety of loose materials to enrich the children's play.

Indoor Environment

We are housed in a log building with high ceilings, large high windows and skylights, which let in natural light. There are two large rooms where we spend our time playing and building relationships with each other. One room offers large muscle play, imaginative play and musical explorations. It converts into a quiet room for rest time.  Our other main room is where we eat together and explore art materials such as paint, clay, glue, sewing, drawing and more. We believe that our environment is the third teacher and so it is flexible and undergoes transformations by us and the children to reflect the children's interests on an ongoing basis.
